At Burg Children’s Dentistry, we believe that children should have a positive first impression when it comes to taking care of their teeth and going to the dentist. Brushing teeth shouldn’t be a chore and going to the dentist shouldn’t be scary. It should all be a part of a fun, engaging adventure! To help children get excited about their oral hygiene, we’ve created our own comic book-worthy league of superheroes
Our main hero is Molar Man who battles villains like the Cavity Miner and Professor Plaque. These supervillains leave plaque and bacteria in our teeth, but nothing can stop Molar Man as he uses his hyper brushing powers and super strength to cast them out of our mouths. His team, the Hall of Heroes, are always by his side. They’re a top-notch league of super women and men who all have special powers—like bacteria force fields, bionic brushing, and telekinesis (the ability to move things with your mind). When they put their heads together, this super team is unbeatable!
Although Molar Man is super busy fighting the good fight against supervillains, he likes to take time out of his day to visit Utah schools. If you’d like for Molar Man to come visit your school, keep reading to learn what to expect.
What to Expect from a Molar Man Visit

A Fun, Interactive Presentation
Molar Man is a superhero of many talents, and one of his greatest skills is that he’s able to get on the same level as children. He’ll talk to your young students about why it’s important to clean their teeth and use terms and phrases that they’ll understand. He’ll teach them about the sugar bugs that like to come into our mouths and leave messes, making us have cavities and bad breath.
During the presentation, Molar Man will show pictures of different foods and talk with your students about them. They’ll give him the thumbs up or thumbs down sign, letting him know if they think the food items are good or bad for their teeth.
Learn How to Brush & Floss Teeth
Molar Man knows that many children learn better through practice, and so he’ll bring a few fun teeth costumes with him. Some of your student volunteers will get to dress up in these costumes and help him demonstrate to the class how to brush and floss their teeth. He’ll show them how we can’t rely on brushing alone to keep our teeth clean and how flossing helps us clean where our toothbrushes can’t fit.
